I don’t know about you but I LOVE reading, my favourite books are Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice, Wuthering Heights and Twilight! I’m really well-read and I have SO many books they looked really messy on my lush white book shelves so I went to a charity shop and bought loads of vintage material and made covers for them like the ones in the photo above. Now I’ve got a really pretty vintage collection! DIY girls but be careful or ask a grown-up to help if you’re using sharp scissors! Love Femmy xo

Another day, another tip! If you want that real hipster edge in your boudoir get a fixie bike! Everyone knows that fixie bikes are the hippest way to get around and I think white ones are definitely the coolest, although a sweet baby pink or blue might look great too, depending on what colour scheme your working with. It doesn’t even matter if you can ride a bike, it doesn’t have to leave your room! All your friends will love it and be totes jealous! Love Femme xo

travel! it can be such a nightmare or a godsend. here are a few tips from femme on how to pack and organise! (what i do best hehe) so, here are some really unique one of a kind tips (obviously) of mine! roll socks into your shoes, real space saver!  make a list by subject, ie, going out clothes, rather than hatsx2 etc  leave space! you never know what gorgeous indie treats you’ll pick up while you’re away  pick up lots of little keep sakes, these go great in your indie bedroom and shows people you like adventure and travel and all that cool stuff!! hope you enjoyed, and have fun while you’re away! love, femmyxx

Awh these are fab! Staying with the subject of food, drink and entertaining in your indie bedroom, cocktails and fruit punches are a really good way to loosen your guests up if you’re having a get together! so simple to make, if you get someone to buy you some alcohol!! strawberries and vodka work really well for the summer time, orange and rum, or you could go nuts with the alcohol and create an old school 60’s punch, guests can grab a cup and get stuck in!! in the winter things like whiskey, baileys, and schnapps work really well and have a raw christmasy feel with mint, and nutty flavours like chestnut! I love baking! Baking sweet girly cakes like this is alot of fun to do and passes so much time! i don’t really bake them to eat so they’re just for show! When friends are round i like to put out pretty indie things, so some of these on an old fashioned cake stand and a pot of tea (possibly a naughty glass of rosé at night!) in my room for a nice chat.   if it’s the weekend you can spice it up with alcohol which is really cool, also mini sushi wraps or small aperitifs! cool huh!! stay safe, Femme x

Been so long since my last post, hope you guys didn’t miss me too much!  What I love to do to add a nice touch to my indie bedroom is keep all my most expensive and co-ordinating make-up packaging and line them up on my dresser, not only does it let my friends know what I’m wearing, it also looks great! I love Yves Saint Laurent lipsticks and I wear a new one every day, so quirky and cool! Love Femme xo

So guys I can see the sun from my bedroom through my fenêtre and I just saw this photo on my dashboard, I’m definitely going to go through all my cute hair accessories today and find something adorable like this to wear in a french plait. Fresh flowers can be a great accent in your indie bedroom too, roses give the impression you are loving and deep and daisies can make you seem fun and sweet! Love Femme xo

I’ve always thought ever since i was a little femme, that dream catchers are so cool! hung in numbers though i think these can look a little garish, (remember we’re going for the ultimate indie bedroom here!) one or two, perhaps over the bed or door, can add a real spiritual and rustic feel. you can get them with feathers of all sorts of shades and colours and look really cool with the wooden beads!   Praise Allah for the wooden beads!! <3 lots of love, femme xxx

these can be really nice additions to your bedroom, i have a few from the many festivals i&#8217;ve been to in my 15years, just like keeping all the bands around your wrist, these can be hung on your walls! add a little back drop of torn newspaper or a picture from a fashion magazine and hey ho! have fun and stay safe! florals

you may think florals and floral bed sheets are to stay on your grandmothers bed, however these can often be really comfortable and give that sort of hazy look, so you can just leap right out of bed it can still look good without being made!

 staying hazy, hanging cotton sheets in soft pinks as a substitute, or as well as, curtains, looks great!! you can get that indie princess look but stapling some to the ceiling, soft blues pinks and mint greens all work well here.

furnishings

so guys im back 2 seconds later to tell you about how you can really bring that edge to your indie bedroom, soft quilted pillows and throws really can tone down some of the hard wood wardrobes and dressers we all have, these items don’t have to be a burden though! pop down to your local diy store and get yourself some wood stain, go crazy on soft coloured woods to give a really hunters lodge feel! this raw edge mixed with soft coloured cotten is to DIE for

So guys i’ve got some really cool ideas for your indie bedroom needs, hearts cut from newspapers look really unique and retro when paired with a sweet girly colour on your wall, you can also cut out lyrics from your fave arctic monkeys song from newpaper and stick to the wall, gives a really cool edgy hipster feel x
